  • Yes. All Saving Shepherds Rescue animals start their stay with us in foster homes, so our process requires finding an open foster home before we can agree to take an animal. For the health and safety of the pets in our care, we do not accept animal surrenders at our rescue address or at any foster homes.

Successfully rehoming a dog may depend on several factors, including:

    The availability of foster homes.

The animal’s compatibility with dogs, cats, and/or children.

    Temperament and aggression

Again, there is a long wait to surrender a pet. And there is no guarantee we can help.

Surrender fee is $100 to help cover costs and vetting.

We do not accept aggressive or overly reactive dogs at this time.

Fill out the Owner Surrender Form, a volunteer will review your information and get in touch with you if and when there is an available foster home.
